How Narrative Shapes Identity, Regulation, & Relationships in ECE

This workshop invites early childhood educators to explore how the stories we tell ourselves — and each other — shape emotions, responses, and sense of belonging in early learning spaces. Through guided reflection, storytelling, and gentle dialogue, educators will examine how internal narratives influence regulation, confidence, and relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

This workshop explores the roots — the stories beneath the surface that shape regulation, identity, and relationships in early learning spaces.

About the Facilitator

Sadaf Firdos is an early childhood educator and professional learning facilitator who supports educators through reflective, story-based leadership. This work continues to evolve through her ongoing reflection, professional learning with educators, and developing research exploring how educators’ narratives shape relationships and children’s sense of belonging.
